Michelle & Warren's carved wooden Hippo's

Michelle says "... Having left Zimbabwe some time ago, we bought with us these two carved wooden Hippos as a memento of the African home we loved. Unfortunately the change in climate and age took it's toll on our varnished Hippos and they started to dry out and crack..."

When Michelle and Warren Vermaas discussed the poor condition of their beloved Hippo's with Simon Cooper at the Christchurch Homeshow, he suggested they bring them on in, and he would see what could be done!

Two hours later, stripped and refinished with Moisturise it Plus, George and Mildred the hardwood Hippo couple, look better than ever, and shade contentedly beneath a pot plant, in the Vermaas home.
